Like everyone around the world.. Obama being President and being sworn in .. was a much watch for us here in Canada. Having said all the above, I feel that Obama has a very hard job to perform in the next few years .. because of all that Bush had done .. during his reign as President.  I hope .. Obama will perform .. for the sake of the people in USA .. and also the world.

This will go down in history..and i’m happy to know that i’ve seen this… here in Canada.

“This is what people come to see. I’m just doing my show,” the comedian said with a laugh.

He’s also known for his political commentary, but there’s one person he’s having a lot of trouble making fun of — president-elect Barack Obama.

This is apparent in his new DVD “Kill the Messenger,” which combines three shows from his international tour: New York; London, England; and Johannesburg, South Africa.

“It was a tour nobody wanted to do… because the general perception is that comedy doesn’t translate,” Rock said.

But thanks to the Internet, the world is a lot smaller than it was even 10 years ago. And people are digging the same jokes, he said, including ones about John McCain and Sarah Palin.

As the DVD readies for release on January 20, CNN talked with Rock about his lack of Obama jokes, Inauguration Day and why racism will never die. The following is an edited version of that interview:

CNN: I watched the special last night, and I noticed that you did a lot of jokes about John McCain — his age, his war hero story — but not so many about Barack Obama. Is it harder to make fun of Obama?

Chris Rock: He’s just one of those guys, you know, like Will Smith. There’s no Will Smith jokes. There’s no Brad Pitt jokes. You know, what are you going to say? “Ooh, you used to have sex with Jennifer Anniston. Now you have sex with Angelina Jolie. You’re such a loser.” What do you say? “Ooh, your movies are big. You make $20 million.” There’s nothing to say about Brad Pitt.

CNN: Why is Obama like that?

Rock: It’s like “Ooh, you’re young and virile and you’ve got a beautiful wife and kids. You’re the first African-American president.” You know, what do you say?

CNN: As time goes on do you think it will get easier?

Rock: Of course, as time goes on. At some point he’s going to — there’s always slip-ups. No one can survive that level of scrutiny without occasionally making it easy for a comedian.

CNN: Let’s talk about the inauguration. Are you going?

Rock: No, I have to go to Sundance [Film Festival]. I’ve got a movie premiering at Sundance. So I have to go to the whitest place in America — Utah.

CNN: What’s it going to be like for you on Inauguration Day?

Rock: It’ll be a cool day. It’s weird. I’ve never watched an inauguration. I’ve never watched anyone get sworn in. You know, it’s like Election Day and then you look up and somebody else is the president two months later. It was never like, “I can’t wait till tomorrow. Oh my god! They’re going to swear in Jimmy Carter!”

CNN: Are you going to watch this one, though?

Rock: I’ll put it this way — like any business is going to be getting done while this guy is getting sworn in. Like I’m going to be in a meeting. Everything is going to stop for however long it takes. Hope they get to it — hope it’s not like I gotta listen to three different versions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” or something. I hope it’s not like Rosa Parks’ funeral, where everybody f***ing speaks.

CNN: What are you hoping Barack Obama does for this country? What do you think is his most important task?

Rock: You know, if you’re the president you only have two jobs: peace and money. That’s it. I mean, it’s like, what did Clinton do? We were at peace and we had a budget surplus. That’s it. That’s the gig. The closer you get us to those two goals, you know, that’s pretty much the gig. Is that too much to ask for?

CNN: At one point in your act, you said, “Racism will never die. It will only multiply.” Why do you believe that?

Rock: Well, it’s never going to die. Maybe it won’t multiply. Is racism going to end? No.

It’s not even race. People are always going to, you know, find something wrong with people who are not the exact same as them. That’s just what it is. Black, white, short, tall, religions, whatever. People are bad, man.

CNN: How was it different playing for an audience in Africa?

Rock: You know it’s weird — it really wasn’t that different. I mean, that’s why I love this special. People are the same wherever you go. And if they weren’t, they wouldn’t laugh at the same s**t. If they were so different they wouldn’t know what I was talking about.

CNN: Stand-up comics I’ve talked to in the past say they like their shows to appear spontaneous. But your new DVD stitches together three shows, illustrating to the audience how scripted comedy can be. Why did you decide on that format?

Rock: You know, I don’t believe in that “come up with stuff on the spot.” I mean, honestly, that’s why I think comedy, stand-up comedy, always plays such a back seat to music.

Like, would you go see a singer if you thought he just came up with the songs? They wouldn’t give out Grammys for songs that they just came up with. You’re going to go see someone at Radio City or Madison Square Garden, I think you’d like to know that they have an act before you spend $75.

So yeah, when you say “came up with it right there,” that’s really cute when you paid $8 to get in and two-drink minimum. When the ticket’s $75, that’s a whole other mindset.

God..!! i hope not..! i’m using Vista myself on my new laptop .. and it was a big leap for me.. an now i hear this new..?? Not good.. buddy..!!! not good at all..!!!

Sure Vista uses a lot of ram .. and they say it is because of security improvement.. but you and I know.. that it is not true… about the security part.  But you have Microsoft talking about Windows 7 all the time these days.. and from what i heard.. Vista is still not being used by the corporate users .. that Microsoft had aim to target.  100 million users as per Bill Gates in not happening anytime soon.

That’s is just too sad.. that this young man was shot on New Year’s day at the subway.  I would be demanding for some answers too.  I bet his family must be real mad.. at how he was shot. Hundreds of ppl were at the Bay Area Rapid transit demanding that someone take responsibility for the shooting.  To think that they  had a moment of silence.. !! if i were there.. i said .. cut the bullshit and give us some freaking answers.

“I am begging the citizens not to use violent tactics, not to be angry,” an emotional Johnson said at the news conference. “I know it’s a very frustrating time, but Oscar would not want to see all the violence that’s going on. He would not want to see the fires, he would not want to see this.”

The U.S Treasury gave a loan to Chrysler i guess to bail them out.  The CEO of Chrysler said it is to help bridge the current financial crisis.  Wow..!! that’s a lot of money.. !!!  for any company..!! i hope the small businesses are also taken care of too.. afterall, the small boys are equally important eh..???

Why..?? because there are stars like Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law .. with big hearts and donated their pay for their final film with Heath Ledger to this 2 years old. They were worried for lil’ Matilda because Heath’s will did not include the lil’ gal. What a shame..!

Director of Heath Leger last and latest movie, Dark Knight said that the 3 stars did not take the money .. but all of it goes to Health’s daughter..!! Awwww..!! what big man . .they are..!! they surely get my respect from now on. What wonderful men..!! we gotta love men like that..!

Very strong ones by the ex Prime Minister of Malaysia .. Mr M. Mahathir. In his blog.. he had written that Malaysia supports the criminal action of former British Prime Minister who had lied to his Parliament and to the British people about the war in Iraq and the Weapons of Mass Destruction, thus supporting the Bush administration to attack Iraq.

Because of Tony Blair’s endorsement . .thousands of innocents were killed.. and cities destroyed, together with the water supply and electricity to Iraq. Many soldiers from Canada.. and USA .. and other places are still in Iraq.. and being killed everyday.

Since no weapons of mass destruction were found.. Dr Mahathir feels that both Blair and Bush should be condemned as the worst ever criminals on earth in this century. Why..?? Because of the senseless killing .. the pointless launched of attack to Iraq and Iraqis.. the mass killing of innocent people that they had ordered to be carried out.. without any mercy.

All the above are very strong allegations.. not only to Tony Blair but to President Bush.  Are there any truth in it..??

Now this is really coffee news.. if you asked me.. muahahha!! but i think he deserved to be fired.. don’t you think..?? for demanding coffee .. from the local starbucks.. and cutting queue.. and threatening of slow response.. if they donch give him free coffee..!!!  Police officers are supposed to be enforcing the law. .and not breaking them. .and abusing their power.

Lt. Major Garvin, a 15-year veteran, was fired July 8 .. over FREE coffee..!! what a shame..!! shame on him i mean..!! for making the police force looked so el cheapo..!!  I hope .. this will send a message to all police officers around the world.. and not just Daytona..  or the United States.

Bizarre is the understatement word i have right here.. and wanna bitch slap the mother of this 2 yrs old.  If my daughter was missing 24hrs.. the whole of Canada.. will know it..!!  for not reporting that your daughter was missing for 31 days.. this mother should be shot..!!  BIG TIME..AND WHIPPED..!!

You think i am harsh..???  i think not..!! the 2 years old is probably dead now.. !!  if she was kidnapped.. or taken away by an unknown..! what was the mother thinking..?? and what were the grandparents thinking too.  Read more about it here.

At all time high.. oil prices continue to soar .. at $142 on Friday .. but the US dollar remained weak .. sending jitters to the business world out there. Doubled in the past year.. the oil prices has triggered inflation worries and US is not of much help.. since the economical growth did not do any better.

Seeing that Canadian dollars are even stronger than the US dollars last year.. i already anticipated alot of changes.. and had been worried constantly.. even though the economist in the United States had said.. that there were nothing to worry about. How much more impact is this going to be .. for the rest of the world..?? Watch closely.. else you will be hit.. and you don’t even know what is going on.

Another hot coffee case like Macdonald’s..?? A woman is suing Victoria Secret .. because she claimed that the metal piece in her thong.. came flying at her.. and hurt her eyes. 52 year old Macrida Patterson claimed that while putting on her underwear.. the metal piece used to secure the rhinestone on the thong popped out.. and attacked her. Well.. i used the word attack.. but firstly .. why is a 52 yrs old wearing a thong..?? and if she was just wearing her thong.. how did it get into her eyes..?? unless she was pulling it really hard.. or trying to stretch the thong.. and it dislodged itself.. because c’mon.. things don’t go flying at you .. and why is your face near your panties anyways..?? makes no sense to me.. ! and to me.. it’s another case of suing macdonalds.. because the coffee is hot. I may be wrong.. so i’m watching it darn closely… to see how ridiculous this case is.

This will certainly go down in history..! unbelievable.. but Hilary Clinton ended her presidency campaign and urged her supporters to endorse Obama. Wow..!!! 18 million voted for Hilary I heard and it is said that this was the closest a woman has come to capturing a nomination.

Obama was thrilled and honored with Hilary’s support. I’m wondering if she will be asked to be the vice president..?? the running mate..?? Did Hilary really inspired millions..?? I don’t really know.. maybe .. i am just biased.. when it comes to the Clintons. As soon as Hilary announced her end, those that had pledged to support her took a 360 degree turn and released statements announcing that they are no backing Obama. Wow..!! now you see what fickle minded is eh. Some of the high profile supporters included those who had supported Bill Clinton when he became President. They include Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski and Maine Gov. John Baldacci. The playing with politics is just as practical as one can get .. when it is not thick and thins we are talking about here.

Sorry..!!! but it wouldn’t be very happy Mother’s Day for me.. if i found out i was pregnant ..the 18th time..!!! How do ppl do that ..?? i donch know..!! But Michelle Duggar did it. Pregnant for more than 11 yrs of her life.. and the family i heard was in the midst of filming another series for Discovery Health.

Like i said.. i donch know how she does it.. because after every kid.. it is a major believed that one should rest the body. If she was younger.. it is understandable.. but at 41 .. ??!!?? slow down .. woman..!! But it does look like their life is pretty much organised… but what motivates this woman.. to keep having kids..?? is beyond me.

The new show it is said to show the life of the Duggar home, where chores are assigned to each kid .. and showing that the girls and boys in the house can swap their duties. Michelle is currently pregant again.. and about 6 weeks into it. She and her husband Jim Duggar said that they’ll keep having children as long as God wills it. Oh My God..!!

I know some ppl are crazy.. but i didn’t think they would be this crazy..!!  when i heard that Obama’s breakfast was being auction on Ebay from a friend.. i thought what a crazy thing to do.  But it’s true.. apparently Senator Obama’s half eaten waffle and sausage is still sitting in a freezer at John Oakes’ home, a loyal customer of Glider Diner in Scranton.  He convinced the diner’s owner, LeStrange to give him the leftover of Obama’s meal.

What started out as a joke ended up in someone bidding a good $20K for the leftovers.  Now what would you think one would wanna do with Obama’s leftover..??  Now the ironic part is Oakes is a supporter of Hilary Clinton and he was planning to use the money raised on ebay for Obama’s leftover to go to Hilary’s campaign for president.  See how bizarre..!!!  As for me.. ! i’ll never keep Obama’s breakfast..!  if i get ahold of it.. down into the garbage can it will go.

Nearly 60,000 people were at New York’s Yankee Stadium with the Pope Benedict XVI, during the mass, the pope blessed the people and told the people of United States to use their freedom wisely.  What an exhilarating day it must have been for the people of NY City..!

He even stopped at Ground Zero to lead a prayer there. Surrounded by about two dozen people directly affected by the events of 9/11 — including rescue workers and firefighters — he then rose to light a memorial candle, pray and bless the site with holy water. He asked God for healing .. for those affected and who had lost their loved ones… during the 9/11 tragedy.

The Canadian dollar has once again raised by 2 cents against the weekness in the U.S. greenback.  Supported by stronger commodity prices, gold was up by $16USD at $948 US.  Prices for silver and copper were also higher.

With the loonie on par with the american dollar, one has got to wonder .. how much it is helping the economy .. because as far as i can see it.. it hasn’t.  I am still watching it very closely.

To be honest.. i am not surprised that hotel chain Westin is using the Wii at over 150 location and resorts.. though more details has yet to be released. Having worked for the Westin Group .. some 15 yrs ago… the hotel management really takes care of the guests needs.. and beyond.

It is said.. that the Wii is a relatively inexpensive console to keep .. by the Westin.. and this will provide guests with a new experience. I know it will be a success.. and other hotels will definitely follow suit. This is the way hotels can keep up with their competition .. i guess.

Wow..!! this is big news..!! Microsoft Corp. co-founder and billionaire Paul Allen has agreed to back investor John Bitove’s attempt to gain a position in the Canadian wireless industry during the spectrum auction in May.

So what does all this means..??  For the layman.. it prolly means.. another player in the market..??? $106 million deposit with financial backing from Paul Allen’s firm .. Vulcan Inc.  Believing that the Canadian consumers deserve the best and most innovative wireless technology… John Bitove the chairman is very excited about the auction.

Several big names/companies has come up as bidders and one of them is telecom giants Rogers Communication.  Seriously, I hope Roger doesn’t win the bid.. because we need some new players in this field.
